Secondary achievement Tutoring ages 12-21

Educating students who have special needs is not an easy task. Public high schools follow district and state access points which often times lead individuals with disabilities down an academic track of frustration, anxiety, and useless skill attainment. LYF Inc.’s Secondary Achievement Tutoring Program will employ students who are cognitively delayed with important competences that will be determined on an individual basis. After carefully constructing a LYF Plan with you, your family, and your child, certified teachers will work on a daily basis to ensure that goals pertaining specifically to your son or daughter are functionally addressed in ways that will secure future success. Whether the focus is employment, proper socialization, applied academics, independence, and/or behavior management, your child’s LYF experience will ensure the accomplishment of reaching their full potentials.

Adult Day Training

Ages 22 and Older

OFTEN TIMES, TRADITIONAL PUBLIC EDUCATION POORLY PREPARES INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES FOR LIFE’S CHALLENGES PERTAINING TO INDEPENDENCE, EMPLOYMENT, AND SOCIALIZATION EXPECTATIONS. LYF INC. WILL POSSESS A FOCUS THAT MAKES INDIVIDUALS SUCCESSFUL AT A LEVEL COMMENSURATE WITH THEIR POTENTIALS. AS OPPOSED TO OTHER PROGRAMS THAT MAINTAIN A “CATCH-ALL” APPROACH, LYF INC. WILL TAILOR A TRAINING MODEL THAT WILL FOCUS ON INDIVIDUALIZED GOALS IN THE AREAS OF FUNCTIONAL ACADEMICS, APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR SKILLS, EMPLOYMENT, AND INDEPENDENCE. THE LYF TEAM FEELS AS THOUGH IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOUR LOVED ONE RECEIVES IMPORTANT SOCIALIZATION OPPORTUNITIES IN THE COMMUNITY AND ON CAMPUS. THIS WILL BE FULFILLED WITH EXCITING AND EDUCATIONAL OFF CAMPUS TRIPS AND SOCIAL EVENTS HELD DURING AND AFTER PROGRAM HOURS.
